Outlook for future reporting obligations
Companies that are already subject to the NFRD must report - especially large, capital market-oriented companies.
Large companies without an NFRD obligation must report if they meet two of three criteria: >250 employees,
>€25 million turnover or >€50 million total assets.
Capital market-oriented SMEs must prepare ESG reports unless they are exempt.
Non-European companies
with > €150 million EU turnover
and a branch or subsidiary in the EU are also required to report.
